President & CEO

Todd Slinde

Todd Slinde is the President and CEO of Eagle’s NEST US, a faith based non-profit organization based out of Visalia CA, which provides critical education leading to better environmental integrity and conservation. Todd has given classes, lectures and seminars from the Bakersfield to the Sacramento areas to diverse groups such as churches, service groups, businesses, universities, high schools, elementary schools. Eagle’s NEST US was awarded Best of 2023, Visalia for Environmental Leadership. Additionally, Todd currently serves in the role of Horticulture Curator of Fresno Chaffee Zoo, where he oversees the plant science and the Horticulture Staff. A graduate in Plant Science from California State University, Fresno, Todd has had a distinguished 40 year award winning career in Nursery Management, Horticulture and Sustainability. Todd founded Eagle’s NEST US in 2013 and resides in Tulare with his wife Charlotte. He and is an avid outdoorsman, hiker, gardener and reader.

Science Educator

Lonnie Miller 

Lonnie Miller is a retired science educator from Visalia Unified School District. In his 35 year high school career he taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, AP Biology and AP Environmental Science. 

 

A graduate of Humboldt University (now Cal Poly Humboldt) in Forestry Management with an emphasis in Engineering he worked for the Forest Service before switching to a career in education.  He also has a Master’s in Educational Technology from Fresno Pacific University.

Founder & CEO, Hartman Engineering

Craig Hartman

Craig Hartman is the Principal Engineer of Hartman Engineering and Hartman Construction, both based in Visalia, CA, which provides services mainly to the Agricultural Industry and performs work within 14 states within the United States. Most of the services are related to helping agriculture become more sustainable through turning waste into renewable energy and renewable fertilizers, automation, water reuse, and water reduction strategies. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2004 and went to work for QK for 3 years before co-founding 4 Creeks with 3 others. Seven years ago he started his own business focused on Sustaining Resources Naturally. Amongst 50 or more active projects, his proudest is serving as the owner's engineer for Cal Poly SLO since 2018, when they hired him to look into the feasibility of his senior project and now oversees the engineering and construction. He is also the managing partner of Lake Bottom Eatery, Brewery, and Distillery which he enjoys being around in his downtime. He resides in Visalia with his wife Chelsea.
